Volunteering with Supportive Minds is an enriching experience that requires dedication and commitment to our community’s values. To ensure a positive and supportive environment, we have outlined some key expectations for all volunteers. These guidelines help us maintain a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels valued and respected.

By understanding and agreeing to these expectations, you’ll be well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to our community, and you’ll have the support you need to grow in your role. Whether it’s through regular participation, maintaining confidentiality, or engaging in training and communication, your efforts will help shape a compassionate and effective team.

  • Time Commitment:
    We understand that everyone has different availability, so we’re flexible with scheduling. We do ask that volunteers commit to at least a few hours per week, depending on the role they choose.
  • Training:
    All volunteers will receive initial training to help them understand our community guidelines, the tools we use, and the best practices for supporting our members. Ongoing training opportunities will also be available to help you grow in your role.
  • Communication:
    Regular check-ins and meetings are part of our efforts to support you in your role. We encourage open communication, and we’re always here to listen to your feedback and provide guidance.
  • Respect and Confidentiality:
    As a volunteer, you’ll be privy to sensitive information shared by our community members. We ask that you respect their privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Support:
    You’re never alone in your volunteer role. Our team is here to support you every step of the way, whether you need advice, a listening ear, or help with a challenging situation.
