Become Our Resources, Education & Training Coordinator – Empower and Educate Our Community
1. Role Introduction:
The Resources, Education & Training Coordinator is a pivotal role at Supportive Minds, responsible for curating and developing resources that empower our community members and volunteers alike. This role involves creating educational content, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring that our team has access to the knowledge and tools they need to provide the best support possible. If you’re passionate about education, love organizing resources, and have a knack for creating engaging content, this role could be a perfect fit for you!
2. Responsibilities:
- Develop and curate educational materials and resources for both volunteers and community members.
- Organise training sessions and workshops for volunteers on topics like active listening, crisis management, and mental health awareness.
- Collaborate with the Support, Moderation, and Positivity Teams to identify training needs and create relevant content.
- Maintain and update a resource library with articles, videos, and other educational materials.
- Gather feedback from volunteers and members to continuously improve the quality and relevance of the resources provided.
3. Expectations:
- Time Commitment:
Minimum of 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility to plan and coordinate training sessions. - Communication:
Regularly update the team on available resources and upcoming training opportunities, and participate in team meetings. - Training:
Complete initial training on community guidelines, resource management, and training best practices.
4. Training and Support:
As the Resources, Education & Training Coordinator, you’ll receive training on how to effectively develop and curate educational content, as well as best practices for coordinating training sessions. You’ll work closely with the management team to align training and resources with the community’s needs. The Staff Wellbeing Coordinator is available to support you in maintaining your own well-being as you take on this role.
